Chicago, IL - Job Description GENERAL SUMMARY/BASIC PURPOSE OF JOB: The Nurse Practitioner is a Family Medicine or related Physician Specialist or Nurse Practitioner who provides three services for the patients at Mount Sinai Hospital. (1) The Nurse Practitioner provides a full range of coverage to patients admitted to Mt. Sinai Hospital on the Non-Teaching Service in the Department of Medicine to support a high level of quality care and patient safety. The Nurse Practitioner will write orders... and a brief progress note as indicated to cover the situations that required the call for the Nurse Practitioner to intervene. (2) The Nurse Practitioner provides support for the Fast Track program in the Emergency Department to support high quality patient care improved patient throughput and reduced patient wait times.
